Health & Physical Education News
Just like that, Term 1 is done! We have had a large number of sports occur this term including Port Curtis trials and Capricornia trials. In addition to this, we have our new Careport Captains! Well done to all students who nominated for the positions. Congratulations to our 2022 Careport Captains! I look forward to working with you for our future carnivals.

Carnivals
Although Term 1 is done, we still have plenty of sports happening, including our Athletics and Swimming Carnival. More information regarding these events will come out at a later stage. Be sure to write the following dates down so you don’t forget!

Sporting Achievements
A few weeks ago one of our students, Archie Tennant received some very exciting news! Archie has been selected for the Queensland State Athletics Team for 100m, 200m, long jump, triple jump and the 100m relay! A massive congratulations to you Archie for this achievement! He will be traveling to Melbourne on the 23rd and 24th of April to compete at the National event. We all wish you the very best of luck!

In addition to this, Riley Townsend has also made the QLD Athletics team for Discus and attended the National titles last week. A huge congratulations to Riley for placing 5th in Australia with a massive throw of 46.29 metres!
